While I don't think we will be trying the animal sound app anytime soon, I might try the bigoven app.

Google maps is one of the default apps on the iPhone. It also comes with calander, address book, weather, stock, notepad, calculator, photo and google search apps. The ones I mentioned in the post all have to be downloaded. I use a GPS in my car as well, so I rarely use it the google maps app.

Which Blackberry do you have?

I am loving me new iphone :-)

My favorite app so far is Open Table. I have been using Open Table for a while via their website, but I like the option to use this app when I am away from the computer. I actually used Open Table to make dinner reservations for William's birthday. The app is like the website and will show you available reservation times and depending on the restaurant, you can view the menu to see if there is something that appeals to you.

Jos- I will have to check out BigOven. I have All recipes and actually used it to buy groceries and make a chicken and spinach lasagna this past Sunday.

Med Obsession- I haven't really used the Google Maps, but I do have a GPS system in my car, so I am usually good to go. I think William and I may have used that app on his phone one weekend in Denver when we were exploring downtown and looking for a place for lunch. We used Yelp and then Google Maps.

I also like the Tripit, which is good for managing info on travel plans. I will be making a few trips over the next few weeks, so this is very handy. In the past, I am always trying to go back through old e-mail to find my itinerary, but with this App, it is always available and you can pull gate info, flight status, weather, maps, and contact info for the airlines. Very cool app. The online version is great also.

Although the apps are great, my favorite favorite feature has to do with e-mail. I get close to 100 e-mails each day on my work account (this excludes the other e-mail accounts I have)... i know... crazy. So, I am constantly having to check e-mail. I was able to check e-mail on my old phone, but it was very difficult to open attachments (which I get a lot of as well). The ease of using e-mail and opening attachments is fantastic! The only thing I don't like is the inability to change certain e-mail settings (like the tone played when an e-mail arrives or the ability to set different signatures for each e-mail account you have set up on the phone).

All in all... I really love it. My Blackjack II(my other cell phone... yes... i still have tw0), is becoming pretty useless now except for the basic phone feature.
