Another Fun Visit

I had a great time with Kyllan this weekend. We didn’t do very much, so there aren’t any exciting stories. We tried to go to a few popular restaurants, but apparently there is some special restaurant week going on and a lot of places are half off; Every place we tried was booked up. We tried to see Definitely, Maybe, but we got the show time wrong and arrived at the theater too early. Instead of waiting we decided to see Vantage Point. Warning! DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE! It wasn’t necessarily bad, but it was definitely annoying. You’ve been warned. Don’t make me tell you “I told you so.” (I wanted to see Be Kind, Rewind, but Kyllan said, “no.”)

  1. I will no longer take movie suggestions from Neil. It was the same 39 minutes replayed 6 times! The secret service agent’s “vantage point?” Okay, I can see that. The middle aged tourist with the video camera who was chasing after secret service agents while they were in pursuit of, and shooting at, a potential terrorist/ police officer just to get it on film? Absolutely ridiculous. The little girl and her ice cream cone? I wanted to claw my eyes out! If they had played 3 stories out at once and then rewound and given you three more at once to show what was really going on I would have been okay, but to literally rewind the movie back to the ringing church bells 6 times!

  2. I did not say “no”. I just said, I would prefer to see Definitely, Maybe. And I told him Vantage Point got bad reviews, so I am not the bad guy. I didn’t think it was that horrible either, but William was really struggling.
Despite William’s dislike for the movie, we had a good weekend together.

  3. I am glad you all had fun this weekend. Let me know when you see “Definitely, maybe”. It sounds really good.

On a different subject, I have to give my super-smart brother-in-law serious props for teaching me so much in the science world. Below is a clip of an article on some of the most dirty items which also included ATM buttons, your kitchen sink and water fountains. The article mentions pseudomonas which I knew nothing about until I met William. Thanks little brother!

    7. Your handbag
Recent studies found that most women’s purses had tens of thousands of bacteria on the bottom and a few were overrun with millions. Another study found bugs like pseudomonas (which can cause eye infections) and skin-infection-causing staphylococcus bacteria, as well as salmonella and E. coli.

  4. Yeah… I was a little surprised with all of the rewinding. Our whole movie theater was actually saying “no!” after the 2nd rewind. Overall though, I thought that it was creative that with each vantage point a new piece of the puzzle was revealed. I liked it in the end.
