My husband, the hero

I just wanted to announce my husband’s heroic deed this weekend.  He walked out of his apartment on Saturday and found his neighbor franticly looking for his son.  He explained to William that his son never wandered from the apartment complex before, but was obviously very worried.  So… William being the wonderful person that he is decided to help look for his neighbor’s son.  William found the little boy playing in a ditch near the apartment.  Awwww… my husband the hero!! (I am sure William’s version of the story would be better).

  1. Aww… that was a nice gesture. There’s this new show coming out where these scenarios are staged and it films to see if people have the heart to step up and help someone out. Sounds like he would’ve been a winner!

  2. Not much to tell. I left my apartment to head to the lab and found my neighbor standing in the middle of the parking lot of the apartment complex. He seemed very distracted when I spoke to him, so I asked him if anything was wrong. He said he had been outside with his son, but had gone inside for about 5 minutes and couldn’t locate him; That was about 25 minutes ago. He asked the woman in the front office to help him look, but she said she had an errand to run and left. (I was shocked by this. How could you not agree to help someone look for their kid?) He seemed to be 50/50 on rather he should be freaking out or not. Even if something really bad hadn’t happened, the kid could have easily hurt him self or something. I couldn’t really not offer to help him. I looked around the complex while he started going to the doors of every neighbor he knew. After another 15 minutes or so I decided to start looking in strange places. After deciding that it is what I would do if I was a kid, I went search in a ditch along the back side of one of the far buildings. There standing in the mud, with a stick in hand, stood my neighbor’s son. Of course he refused to come anywhere near me (I was a stranger) and I ran to find his dad.
