I saw the movie District 9 this past weekend and thought that it was amazing. It was one of the most thought provoking Sci-Fi films I’ve seen in a very long time. Real Sci-Fi should explore the human condition, but most movies calming the genre get sidetracked by futuristic technology and and too many special effects. District 9 had aliens, explosions and amazing cg, but what really made the film was the subtext. Here are two articles that don’t give too much away: here and here.
