Kyllan’s Baby shower is this weekend. I say Kyllan’s baby shower, and not our baby shower, because I was not invited. Both our parents will be in town for the event, as well as a few out of state friends we don’t get to see very often. (We don’t see the ones in state enough either.) I’ve been busy trying to wrap up the semester and Kyllan is always buys, so we haven’t had much time to really do baby related stuff recently. It will be great to have a chance to share our excitement with everyone. I know that one of the shower events is going to be watching the nursery reveal video. At this point, Kyllan is the only person other than me that has seen it. I will post the same video to the site sometime this weekend, after the shower.
I’m looking forward to the big reveal of “Laurel Annette’s” nursery…and seeing pictures from the baby shower! Enjoy the weekend with the Laurel’s grandparents.

What a great weekend in Dallas. The shower was beautiful, full of fun girly stuff, food and fellowship. Kyllan is so beautiful pregnant. The nursery reveal was priceless! William’s attention to detail ranks him in the same category with Nate Berkus! Good job William. Hugging Betty and Bill and sharing in the anticipation of our first granddaughter together is awesome.

The shower was a big success. Kyllan specifically requested to have an all-girl’s shower, so we were just following her lead. Hopefully you’ll be able to enjoy a co-ed work shower event. We discussed alot of candid, post-baby topics that I think Kyllan appreciated hearing from women who had experienced it personally and know how it all feels. Kyllan really wanted to hear how the girls felt post-baby, no holds barred. Lots of fun!
When you have pictures of the shower, let me know. I’d like to see the great pics that were taken from the event. It was nice to see your parents as always. They are so excited to be grandparents and I loved seeing their faces light up when we mentioned the word “grandparents” . The room turned out beautifully. Overall, it was a great weekend. Laurel is so blessed to have so many loving, caring people in her life. We can’t wait until she arrives.
