Today is Kyllan’s birthday! I hope that it is a quite day filled with obedient children and a doting husband.

A Look Back at Elliott’s 1st Christmas
This past Christmas was an exciting one for the Cody. It was our first Christmas with Elliott. Much like Laurel’s first Christmas, he was not old enough to really know what was going on or be excited for the occasion. He was just happy about all of the attention he received, the paper he was allowed to tear, and that there were new items to stick in his mouth. Laurel, on the other hand, was all about Christmas this year. She was very excited about the “Angela” on the tree and loved looking at all of the ornaments. We were not able to put gifts out until Christmas Eve once she had gone to sleep because she keep trying to open the first few things we put under the tree. On Christmas she could believe it was finally time to open presents and could not get enough. Not only did she open all of her’s, I think she open all of Kyllan’s and half of Elliott’s. Both sets of parents and Kyllan’s sister’s family joined us for Christmas dinner. A few pictures are below. You can see them all here.

October Wedding
This past October the Codys all traveled to New York city to see one of my cousins get married. It was probably the most beautiful ceremony I have ever attended. (My own is a blurr. I only remember looking into Kyllan’s eyes). The couple was married in Central Park and had everyone gather around them when they exchanged vows, so I have some beautiful pictures of the event. You can find them here.
Elliott at 5 Months
Well, Elliott never got a 4 month or 5 month post…
Elliott is still growing and growing. We refereed to his sized so much that Laurel began calling him “big boy.” We now refer to him as being a handsome boy when discussing his size. He is much more verbal in month five than he was in month four. While he is still quite baby, he has spurts of none stop babbling for 10 or 15 minutes. He has started showing a strong interest in solid food, and will likely get his first taste this weekend. He is favorite thing to do appears to be listening to people talk. He listens intently to every word Kyllan and I say. He also enjoys grabbing anything in front of him. He recently began attending the same daycare as his big sister, so the logistics of morning drop offs and evening pick ups have gotten much easier. His four and five month pictures are below. Here is a link to some random October and September photos.
Photos
We uploaded plenty of photos the past two months, but have done a horrible job of posting to the blog. In cased you missed them, here are photos for Laurel’s 2nd birthday party, Laurel’s actual birthday, and our family trip to San Antonio.
3 Months
Elliott is growing up so fast. This past week he turned 3 months. In some ways it feels like he just arrived. In other ways, he has changed so much that the past few weeks seem like years. He has gone from making the occasional noise to babbling non-stop. Kyllan was spending so much time trying to get a smile out of him last month. Now it seems like he is smiling every minute. Kyllan beams with joy whenever Elliott returns one of her smiles. It is wonderful to watch. Elliott is starting to sleep longer periods at night, though he is apparently sleeping less at daycare than usual. He is enjoying tummy time more and more. In addition to his play mat, Elliott now has a jumper that he has been doing a great job in. He will be pulling himself up on to furniture and walking around in no time.
I have lots of photos form Laurel’s birthday and birthday party. I have photos from San Antonio as well. I will post these later week. They are already on my flickr page.
Elliott’s Birth
Here are some photos from Elliot’s birth. He is a handsome little man with a full head of hair. Kyllan and Elliott hope to be discharged tomorrow. Kyllan plans to post his birth story soon.
Last of the Photos I Never Got Around to Uploading
Here are the last of the photos I have been intending to upload. I thought that I was going to get them posted before Elliott’s birth, but he had other plans. The photos include a surprise birthday party I threw for Kyllan, Kyllan’s actual birthday, and mother’s day. These pictures feature some extra Laurel cuteness, which is good because she will be sharing the spotlight from now on.
