Almost Famous!?

So if you have not heard or seen, William and I were featured in the March 24th issue of Jet Magazine! Many people have asked why it was not a picture from the wedding day. The picture was actually taken at the reception William’s parents hosted for us in Jacksonville, FL in December. The photographer from the reception submitted the photo to Jet and they published it. My name was spelled wrong and they had the wrong information about our Honeymoon (we went to Turks and Caicos, not a Carribean Cruise), but we were just excited that we were even featured. For those who were unable to see it, see below.

Video from Honeymoon

I am in Dallas this weekend to celebrate 6 months of marriage with Kyllan. 6 months and it has only taken me this long to do something with the video we took while on our honeymoon. It’s a lot of footage, so I will be breaking it up and posting it through out the week. Think of it as a celebration! This first video is of the two of us discussing the morning before and the events leading up to our wedding ceremony.

Really Late Video

Wow! I can’t believe that 5 months has already passed. No one has seen it, but Kyllan and I really did take video during our honeymoon. Below is a tour of suite at the Regent Palms in Turks and Caicos. We have more video of us by the pool reflecting back on the wedding, but I haven’t done anything with the footage. I’ll try to get the rest of the video out by 6 months. (Sorry, I’ve been busy.)

Wedding photographs!!!

Well… the wedding photographs from our photographer are ready for viewing and can be found online at http://www.beauxartsphotography.net/William_Kyllan/
There are over 1,000 photographs, so be prepared to be overwhelmed once again. It includes photos of everyone getting ready and the photos from when William and I saw each other for the first time before the ceremony. William and I now have the huge task of narrowing down the ones we want in our wedding book, so we are going to try to mark our favorites this weekend. Feel free to tell us what your favorites are also!  For easy reference, I have created a link to the site on the right sidebar under the “William and Kyllan” section.

1 month Anniversary!!

Today marks William and my first month anniversary!  Yes… corny, but I couldn’t resist making mention.   The first four weeks have been absolutely wonderful except for the two weeks that we have now been apart, but the distance is not new and we have learned to not let that stress us now.  We are looking forward to seeing each other at the end of the month as we celebrate with Maya and Jamaal at their wedding.  Hopefully you have all been able to look at the pictures posted on William’s flickr page and we will soon have photos from he photographer ready to share with everyone if you haven’t been overwhelmed already.

Also, I don’t know if William is going to mention it, so I will brag on my husband.  If you read my comment on the previous post, you may recall me mentioning that William attended a conference this weekend and had to give a presentation.  Well… he won 3rd place of all the graduate students who presented!!  So… I am very excited and happy for him… my favorite and most intelligent microbiologist!!

Fantastic Voyage

Warning: The following post contains links to photos of our honeymoon in Turks and Caicos. Looking at the 185 photos can potentially distract you from work, ruin memories of previous vacations and/or cause you to spend your hard earned money by immediately booking a trip of your own. Proceed at your own risk. The Cody Report is not responsible for any actions or efforts you make to reach the state of relaxation found in said photos.

As you may have heard, Kyllan and I honeymooned on the Turks and Caicos island (TCI) of Providenciales (Provo) after our wedding where we stayed at the Regent Palms for 5 nights. (We made several post while on the trip detailing the amazing time we were having: Post 1, 2, 3 and 4 .)

One of the wedding gifts we received from my parents was a Nikon D40x camera. (The other gift was the honeymoon.) With this camera we took over 650 pictures of our trip. We have gone through these pictures and selected 185 honeymoon photos to share with everyone.

Did I mention we plan to go back at some point? Who’s going with us?

Oh, my good friend Neil (also one of my groomsmen) has started blogging again over at the Chronicles of NL. He made a brief post about the wedding entitled “Wedding Bells.”

Photos from the Wedding

My Uncle Sam, who is also my godfather, took over 900 photos during the weekend of our wedding. Knowing that he is into photography, I asked him to take photos at the events where we didn’t already have a photographer and to get some candids at the reception; He out did himself. Kyllan and I cannot thank him enough for capturing so many memories for us. He gave us the files before he left Dallas and we spent over two hour during the honeymoon looking the images. There were so many moments we didn’t see, guest we didn’t get a chance to talk with and little details that we were moving to fast to catch.

Now, we want to share my uncle’s images with all of you. (While I personally enjoyed looking at all 900, we only uploaded select images.) For those of you that were unable to attend, the weekend included the rehearsal dinner, the wedding ceremony and reception and a breakfast the next morning. There is a photo set for each event. View the entire collection here. (I think the “detail” view, found under the event title, allows for the easiest viewing of photos once inside the sets.)

If you have your own photos of the wedding, please share them with us. We will let everyone know as soon as the wedding photographer’s photos become available.
