{"id":2203,"date":"2014-05-19T00:10:05","date_gmt":"2014-05-19T06:10:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/codyreport.com\/blog\/?p=2203"},"modified":"2014-05-19T00:23:12","modified_gmt":"2014-05-19T06:23:12","slug":"the-big-one","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/codyreport.com\/blog\/2014\/05\/19\/the-big-one\/","title":{"rendered":"The BIG ONE!!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Elliott,<\/p>\n<p>You are one year old today!\u00a0 As usual, the time has flown by and you are growing by the minute.\u00a0 On Saturday, you had your first birthday party!\u00a0 It was a lot of fun and you got to celebrate with neighbors, family and friends.\u00a0 We choose a robot theme, similar to the theme in your room of spaceships and robots.\u00a0 Daddy is already planning a spaceship theme for next year.\u00a0 Today, to celebrate your birthday, we are going to take a family trip to the Ft. Worth Zoo.\u00a0 This will be your second zoo experience since we went to the Dallas Zoo for Laurel&#8217;s birthday last year.\u00a0 You were only 2 months old though, so it was not as exciting for you.\u00a0 At one year old, here are some things you enjoy<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Making &#8220;music&#8221; by banging things together- instruments, pots, toys, water bottles, whatever<\/li>\n<li>Chasing after Laurel or &#8220;getting into trouble&#8221; with her.\u00a0 You find her hilarious and laugh so much when she does silly things<\/li>\n<li>Scooting all around on your bottom.\u00a0 You have decided this is easier than walking for the time being, although you continue to pull up more and more each day<\/li>\n<li>Being outside.\u00a0 The fresh air always seems to calm you down, so you enjoy stroller rides, sitting on the rocking chairs, or just hanging around outside.<\/li>\n<li>Grabbing for remotes, cell phones, or gadgets of any type and then getting really upset when someone takes it away<\/li>\n<li>Throwing toys or dumping things out<\/li>\n<li>Eating Mum Mums and trying new food<\/li>\n<li>Waking up in the middle of the night!\u00a0 I am hoping this will stop soon.\u00a0 I think the sleep training will start next week so we can get you on a better routine<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Well, I need to get some rest so I can have some energy to help you celebrate tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>Love you always!
