Well.. the countdown has begun and I am a little over 24 hours away from my 30th Birthday!\u00a0 I have truly been blessed during the past decade.\u00a0 I mean truly truly blessed… here is the rundown….<\/p>\n
Age 20<\/strong> <\/em><\/p>\n Declared my major as Political Science.<\/p>\n Age 21 <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Was the maid of honor at my sister’s wedding.<\/p>\n Became a member of the greatest sorority in the land… Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.\u00a0 OOOOOOOO-OOOP!<\/p>\n Age 22<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Graduated from Wake Forest University.<\/p>\n Moved to Ithaca, NY where one day while taking out the trash, I met the man I would marry 5 years later.<\/p>\n Started grad school at Cornell University.<\/p>\n Age 23<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Survived grad school.<\/p>\n Completed a 10 week internship with a company that would later offer me a job.<\/p>\n Was hired for my first REAL job one week before the 1st semester was over ( I could now breathe for the 2nd semester).<\/p>\n Age 24<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Graduated from Cornell University with a Master’s in Health Administration.<\/p>\n Moved to Florida to start my career in healthcare administration.<\/p>\n Survived 4 hurricanes (including Hurricane Charley which was a direct hit on my small town, Punta Gorda).<\/p>\n Became an aunt to the cutest nephew ever!!<\/p>\n Age 25<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/em>Received a promotion and was relocated to Dallas, my pseudo hometown (I was born in Ohio, but raised in TX).<\/p>\n Signed a contract to build my first house.<\/p>\n Watched William get down on one knee in the rain to ask me to marry him \ud83d\ude42 (Awww!)<\/p>\n Began blogging on The Cody Report.<\/p>\n Age 26<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Served as Interim CEO for 6 months.<\/p>\n Age 27<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Married my favorite scientist!<\/p>\n Took an amazing honeymoon to Turks and Caicos, our new favorite destination.<\/p>\n Surprised my mother with a kitchen makeover on national television.<\/p>\n Celebrated by 10 year high school reunion.<\/p>\n Age 28<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Traveled to Europe for the first time and visited 6 countries with my husband and his parents.<\/p>\n Celebrated my 1st wedding anniversary (someone in the middle of Mediterranean Sea).<\/p>\n Celebrated my mom’s 60th Birthday!<\/p>\n Age 29<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Started a new job.<\/p>\n Celebrated my 2nd wedding anniversary.<\/p>\n Watched my husband successfully defend his thesis and earn his Ph.D.<\/p>\n Began living under the same roof with my husband.<\/p>\n 30s<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n ???<\/p>\n I cannot wait to see what my 30s will hold.\u00a0 I am sure I will experience even more Joy than I did in my 20s.\u00a0 I am thankful to my husband, family and friends for making this such a memorable decade.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Well.. the countdown has begun and I am a little over 24 hours away from my 30th Birthday!\u00a0 I have truly been blessed during the past decade.\u00a0 I mean truly truly blessed… here is the rundown….
