It has been brought to my attention that my recent lack of post have lead to the blog becoming “girly.” So, now I am making a post about a few manly things. Wake Forest plays Duke tonight at 7pm E on ESPN2. How ’bout those Saints? They do this every year; Build up hope in their fans, only to collapse at the last minute. I am not believer, yet. We will see what happens this weekend. Did Kyllan tell you guys that I moved two large piles of bricks and fixed a door while I was in Dallas during Christmas? My Xbox360 is broken and will have to be sent back to Microsoft for repair. I recently bought a DVD with a THX optimizer on it. The improvement in picture quality is amazing. What are your thoughts on the iPhone? I am not impressed. No 3G, still no 16:9 ratio screen, proprietary OS with no 3rd party OS, no tactile feedback on the keys, no downloading music or syncing over wifi and price. My parents were in Detroit this week (long story, that may or may not be explained later) and had a chance to check out the auto show. Hopefully my dad will post pictures to his flickr account soon… There, I covered the man interest trifecta: Sports/ feats of strength, AV/gadgets and cars.
Don’t give up on the Saints just yet. I personally believe they will be some sort of Cinderella story.
I had a hard time deciding which topic to post this under, but would things seem less “girly” if Kyllan were to post how much iron that she is pumping (ugghing and grunting) or about how she kicked some major butt (maybe of other men) while she was working out at the gym?
Kyllan, maybe you should add some grunts and other manly sounds to your fitness update! You could certainly post a picture of you doing a Hulk Hogan pose — that would be manly!
Hey!
I’d like to point out that I have read posts where KYLLAN refers to Wake Forest Football, the gadgets in the house as well as a camera, and I believe she bought your nephew a truck. That would be your trifecta right there! That being said, I’d like to just put it out there that Da Bears are going ALLL THEE WAAAY!
The iPhone? Just another way to entertain yourself instead of talking to a real person. But it looks cool. They have to know that if they are the first they run the risk of Microsoft coming out with something better–more memory, more stuff, more power (ugh, ugh, grunt, grunt). What’s the update on the lawsuit with the other iPhone that isn’t really a phone.
And, uh, yeah, go Bears! The last time I watched football regularly, Refrigerator Perry was on the team.
Shenitta, see, now that they finally have you believing, it’s time for them to blow. They do it every year. It just took more this year to get people to have faith (that’s faith with a fleur-de-lis “a”).
Kim P., Am I not masculine enough to fill the man quota for this blog? Did you read that I moved bricks and fixed a door?
Jos, da Bears? Really? All the way?… I left some tips for the Brzile Brief under m post “nothing.” When are you going to post?
Nikki, we will let you know who wins. Clearly you won’t be watching.
We just posted! Still got some work to do (read: Cody will be logging into our site and doing all the technical things to make our site wonderful). I saw the tutorial, but yea. We’re gonna need some help.
I agree with Jos, Go Bears! ….is that manly. Also, I lifted five pound weights during a ten minute segment of my exercise class….ALLLLLL that sweat! Oh! by the way, the weights are pink!!
Keep up the good work Kyllan, you are going to look beautiful in that dress in September.
Kim, you sure are strong, lifting the bricks and fixing that door. You go Girls!
While in Detroit, Betty and I carried shopping bags from the mall to the car!
Wow, what a surprise! Apple introduces a new product and Will isn’t thrilled about it. Who would have thought? I watched the whole press conference and I will be the first to get one (after they drop the prices). The thing runs OS X!!! That’s the same operating system my mac is running now.
Sooo… tried all day yesterday to make this blog thing work. The good news is I figured out how to deactivate all those extra blogs. The bad news is, we went back to basics and are currently operating under Yahoo’s Blog thingy. Cody, don’t call trying to bully me into trying harder, because then, I’ll bully YOU into coming to our 10 year reunion! :0)So you really want it with me? Joking, check it out, and let me know if it works for you …for now.
Ms. Brown, your post made me smile! Just the type of manly post I think that William is looking for! Keep pumping that pink iron!!! 🙂
Mrs. Brown, I was the one lifting bricks and fixing doors. I had to show Kyllan I am not some wimpy scientist.
I would just like to put it out there that THE BEARS ARE GOING ALL THE WAY!!! That is All…:)
Als, thank you Cody…the site looks awesome. We’ll send out an email announing the site tonight, and continue working on it. Don’t forget to send me that link for the book.
Neil, the iPhone does not run OS X. It is running a mobile version that apple has yet to detail. They will not allow third party developers to write for it. It can run widgets and you will not be able to download songs or podcast over itunes with it. (Without 3G this would take forever anyway.) I know you are going to tell me you don’t believe me. I would be happy to send you links.
Kim P. – You are right, I may have to post pics of my Hulk Hogan poses!
Joscelyne- Thanks for having my back. I have made several posts that would meet criteria for both genders! I hope everything works out with your blog now.
Mom- I am VERY excited you are working out. I think you need a “de-stresser” activity to keep you balanced as well. Stay with it!
Still going to get an iphone, and so is Tami! Long live Apple 🙂
I give up. I’m obviously not tech savvy enough to give tech advice? Spend your money.
I’ve been researching the Phone market and have a feeling a new phone will be popular soon.
The phone is unlocked (supports sim chips)
and dual band (switches between)
GSM networks, and WiFi.
What does this mean. Well some people can walk around with unlimited mins on their phone.
Currently the technology isn’t finalized, but you could purchase a 3G router now, add a verizon/ or other national broadband pcmcia card. (Get it to work of off battaries) (I’m looking into all of this)
and talk VOIP all day long!!!
If you want to buy a sample drop me a line. I might order a batch to sell on eBay.
or you could just find a phone that runs windows mobile, has WiFi and load skype on it.
