34 days to go…

***WARNING: GIRLY POST***

After several requests for wedding details (girly stuff), I have decided to give an update. I think I hesitated before because I was a but stressed, but I have gotten a lot accomplished the past few days (or at least it feels like a lot). The planning process is going well despite my freak-outs every once in a while about certain details. William is always there to quickly remind me that as long as the two of us and our parents are there, nothing else really matters. I went for my first dress fitting this past Wednesday and the dress fit perfectly (as the seamstress suggested). I feel I could lose a few more pounds, but I should be fine either way. I have another fitting in 2 1/2 weeks, so we will see. William still doesn’t understand why he can’t see the dress. He is not one for surprises, but this one he will just have to wait for. Other than that, I have been meeting with some of the vendors to finalize the details and things seem to be falling into place. I have been working this weekend to finalize the program and am almost done. The to-do list is still long, but I think I have all of the major stuff out of the way. I will admit that I frequently go to the knot.com message boards (although I have not posted a message before) to see what other brides are doing and stressing about. It seems to keep me sane when I see other people going through same excitement and sometimes stress of the process as I am.

We have already started to receive wedding gifts, which is very exciting. I have opened the first few we have received, but I think I will hold off on opening more until William can share in the experience of opening the gifts with me. A few people have asked about the registry and you can find this and other details on our wedding website, www.williamandkyllan.com. Oh, and if you had problems reserving a hotel room at the Hilton, let me know. We had to add more rooms to the block, so we should be ok now, but we need to make sure your reservation is in our wedding block.

Ok… so that sums it up, but if there was something else I was supposed to talk about, let me know.

*IMPORTANT: Don’t forget to RSVP by THIS SATURDAY (yes…even if you already told me whether or not you are coming). It is much less stressful when you have accurate head counts, so help me out!

  1. I love it, a girly post. Well everything is going well in Cleveland. The flower girls dress has arrived and Taylor will have her first fitting tomorrow. Her shoes are satin brown and the dress is beautiful.
Also, my dress is in and I will have it pressed in Dallas at Stardust Bridal the week before the wedding.
Kyllan, stop stressing out. Call your wedding coordinator, Gayle.
We have all the vendors and only have to purchase the unity candle, programs and menu cards. The gift favor tags are in, along with the special name cards for every place setting. The runner will be ready this week and the menu cards will be ordered in a few days.

Kyllan , you must let go, and turn everything over to the wedding and reception coordinator NOW! I want you calm and happy for your wedding day. I’ll be there on September 1, to take over.
    Relax, breathe, smile.

  2. You have a wedding coordinator and you still have that big long list of things to do?! Kyllan! Listen to your momma on all accounts. And pray. William’s right too. The only thing that matters is that you guys and your parents are there.

I know everything will be beautiful. You’ve already gone above and beyond what you need to do. It was good to hear what is going on. Now I know how to pray for you. I’m so glad you are a part of our family and I’m looking forward to seeing you both in September.

  3. Kyllan, I am amazed at all of your attention to details. Enjoy the planning, then you will enjoy the wedding even more. It is going to be so beautiful. I feel like a small child waiting for Christmas.

  4. Dear Betty,
We just received the beautiful rehearsal dinner invitaton, they are beautiful. P.S. I love the stamp.
I’m so excited, thankful and prayerful, that I know everything will work out well. See you soon.
    Sandra

  5. Kyllan, thank you for finally making a post. To be fair, I said “parents, family and friends.” Oh, you forgot to say how excited you are.

  6. Sorry… I am very excited! What’s even more exciting is that William is excited. Not that he hasn’t been excited all along, but he is starting to express his excitement about the wedding the past few days instead of just asking me to elope! 🙂

  7. Now that the invitations have gone out, it’s to late to call everything off and elope. However, we still have time to secretly get married and still have the ceremony…

  8. Hey everyone, one month from today The Wedding of the year. Kyllan and William

    Love you both
